Facebook, Twitter, Google warns Pakistan to shut their service

There's a coalition of digital media giants comprising of Google, Facebook, Twitter and others who have spoken out that they will shut down their operations in Pakistan until unless the new social media regulations circulated by their government are revised.

Pakistan new regulations seek these digital giants to open offices in Islamabad, build data centres there and co-operate with government if any content doesn't go properly as per authorities, failure of which will lead to heavy fines and possible termination of services. As per the coalition, these regulations violate the user privacy as the authorities will have access to their online content posting freedom.
